JANICE W. LAKE, CPA 
Janice has more than twenty-five years of experience in the fields of auditing, accounting, tax and management services, and has been a certified public accountant in the State of Florida since 1979.
Janice has practiced public accounting in both the United States and Great Britain. Her auditing of financial statements has brought her into close contact with a variety of large and small businesses, including: condominium and homeowners' associations, various non-profit organizations and agencies, federally funded multi-family housing projects, health-care providers, general contractors, automobile dealerships, restaurant and fast food operators, wholesale and retail distributors, fraternal and membership organizations, pension and profit-sharing plans and numerous others.
Her experience also includes the performance of operational and compliance audits for local governmental departments and agencies to achieve increased efficiency and cost savings. These detailed studies resulted in the writing and presentation of comprehensive reports recommending corrective measures.
In addition to her experience in public accounting, Janice has taught college-level auditing and continuing professional education courses to other certified public accountants through the Florida Institute of CPAs.
Janice was educated in Jacksonville, Florida and is a graduate of the University of North Florida.
MELINDA M. BERGBOM, AUDIT MANAGER
Melinda offers over twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry. As a commercial banking officer, her clients ranged from large, public companies to small, family owned businesses, and included many and varied non-profit organizations. As Regional Market Leader for Wachovia Bank, key market segments in her portfolio were homeowner and condominium associations and property management companies. Her experience includes construction lending to the commercial real estate market, including condominiums. Melinda's knowledge of financial statement analysis, strengthened through her years of credit underwriting, is beneficial in our firm's audit practice, particularly in the forensic audit area. She also is a valuable resource to our clients on cash management and lending matters.
A native Floridian, Melinda returned to St. Augustine after twenty-eight years in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in international studies from Georgia Southern University and completed credit and corporate financing training programs with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.
Melinda is active in the community, currently serving as President of St. Johns County United Way. She is also on the board of directors of the St. Johns Cultural Council and a member of the Rotary Club of St. Augustine. She is a graduate of the 2005-2006 Leadership St. Johns program and a past board member of the Economic Development Council of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.
SANDY G. WILLIAMS, ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Sandy Williams has more than twenty-two years of experience in the field of accounting. During that time, she has worked for certified public accounting firms as well as owning her own accounting business. Sandy has worked for our firm both as an employee and as an independent contractor.
Her services to small businesses and condominium associations include preparing vendor and payroll checks, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers, preparing sales tax and payroll tax returns, assisting with budget preparation as well as general ledger and financial statement preparation.
Sandy is a "Quickbooks Advisor" and has worked with many of our clients in the set-up of their accounting systems, the training of their employees and providing assistance and problem solving.
A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in education, Sandy continued her education in accounting at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.
CARLY E. WILLIAMS, CPA, SENIOR AUDITOR
Carly began her career in public accounting with KPMG, LLP in Miami, Florida. During her two years with the “Big Four” firm, she was involved in the audits of both public and private companies. She was licensed as a certified public accountant in the State of Florida in January 2011 and joined our firm in April of 2011.
A graduate of Florida State University, Carly holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She continued her education at the University of North Florida where she obtained her Masters degree in Accounting. Carly is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Community Association Institute. She lives in Jacksonville Beach and is active in the community as a member of the Junior League of Jacksonville.
